NHS rejects British expats returning from Spain - medical black hole

Interesting article published in the Telegraph regarding strict new rulings which will affect thousands of Britons living in Spain. Many British expats will no longer have access to local health care services in Spain and being rejected from the NHS in the UK, despite the fact that they have contributed for many years. The withdrawal of the S1 (E106) form took place 1st July, 2014.

France has already implemented changes which require that British Expats retiring there have to have private medical insurance to access health care services in France.
